Another superlative BDSM novel by Sierra Cartwright. I love this series! As with the first book in the series, the details of the BDSM lifestyle are well-researched and extremely accurate. The characters and storyline draw the reader in and make this an easy read. However, that is not to say that this is not an engaging or predictable book. As with my review of Bind (the first book in this series), I think Sierra Cartwright is among my top three BDSM erotic romance authors (with the other two being Cherise Sinclair and Lexi Blake).

My only complaint about this book is one that I have with a lot of Kindle/e-books and that is that the proofreading is not great. There were several spelling and grammar errors in the book. I think I tend to notice these more because I was an English major and have taught for a portion of my career. However, I have read hundreds of Kindle/e-books over the past decade and, unfortunately, this seems to be the norm for the e-book industry. I am not sure why this is true but it seems that e-books are not proofread to the same degree as print books. However, that is my only problem with this book.

If you are a fan of erotic romance, particularly with a BDSM theme, then I would highly recommend this book. Once again, kudos to Sierra Cartwright for a job well done!

Good GAWD I think I need new panties! TMI? Too bad! First of all, Sophia is an awesome heroine! She is smart, DIRECT, and fearless. When she encounters Cade Donovan, she might not know what she is in for, but she is in! Cade and Sophia have that insta-chemistry that makes for amazing erotic romance. The big, bad, cowboy Dom may be emotionally damaged, but his heart doesn't stand a chance when Sophia offers him more than he ever knew he wanted. Their time together may have been short, but they are both written with such ease that their reactions to each other never feel forced or awkward. Unlike Book 1 with Connor and Lara, these two seem instantly suited to each other and they both seem to know it....somewhere, deep down, they know. Book 1 was good, but Book 2 is great! This is one of those reads that keeps you up all night and the book hangover is totally worth it. Can't wait for Book 3!!!
Sophia cracked the shell but his little brother broke it open and revealed truths that he was blind to. Cade Donovan was lost, hurt, and unconscious since the untimely death of his father. He sheltered himself from family in which he felt he wasn't entitled too but then Sophia, the sub, came and pushed and gave. He was not planning on the worldwind of this woman to steal his heart and make him do what no one was able to do.... See.

This was a steamy sexual book that left you feeling sorry for as well as understanding Cade in a way that was funny and ticked you off. You always wondered why he was the way he was when there clearly was no bad blood. It took a curious divine brat to uncover the answers we seeked as well as have him realizing and slowly heal.
Sierra Cartwright has done it again!!!! This is a sweet love story. Cade the illegitimate son and half brother to Connor and Nathan. He has been fighting his own demons for far too long. Cade does not believe he deserves anything the Donovan's have to offer. Staying secluded on the ranch working from dawn to dusk and living in the very large family home that he does not believe he belongs in. Follow his journey to healing.
Sofia a very strong woman with her own successful business. She does not believe she fits in with the Donovan's because she is from the wrong side of the tracks.

A chance meeting at his half brother's wedding reception Cade meets Sofia. They both have an instant connection. However, Cade is a Dominant and Sofia has never had any experience in BDSM. Cade is so patient introducing Sofia to the life style. Follow this couple on this amazing love story as they both find equal ground to work out their differences and demons.
This is book two in the series and is Cade's and Sophia's story.

Cade is the illegitimate son and step-brother to Nathan and Conner. He doesn't believe he deserves the ranch he inherited, especially since the accident that killed their father happened with him behind the wheel. Cade has always kept his distance and has never felt as though he was really a true Donovan or part of their family.

Attending a wedding reception in honor of Conner and Lara's recent nuptials, Cade meets Sophia, the sexy caterer of the event. He's drawn to her in a way that isn't his normal and Cade can't seem to keep his eyes from straying to her. With his family insisting that he hold a party at the ranch celebrating its history, Sophia is the perfect solution to help plan the event. Plus it means that Cade will get to see Sophia again.

Cade and Sophia have instant, hot chemistry. Sophia has learned from Lara that Conner is a dominant soon discovers that Cade is as well. Even though she knows she should stay away from him - Cade even warns her he's dangerous - Sophia can't seem to walk way. She's too interested in the lifestyle and Cade is willing to be her teacher. Who will be hurt in the end?

I genuinely loved Cade. He's such a caring man. Even though he's quiet and a lot of times broody, it's those characteristics that make him hotter. He knows what he wants and Cade's very clear with Sophia in his instruction. Sophia is a quick learner and becomes invested in her relationship with Cade almost immediately. I was so glad she didn't run and allowed herself to trust Cade fall for him. Sophia was able to tell that there was more to Cade under his stay-exterior and she made him happy whether he wanted to acknowledge it at first or not. They really were perfect together. I loved Floppy too.

I've already pre-ordered the third book in the series which is Nathans, and I can't wait to see how all the Donovans are doing.
